Beat Bama ( In All Things)

As Auburn fans, one rivalry exists that is not for the faint of heart; Auburn versus Alabama. Typically, the most well-known battle between these two schools occurs at the Iron Bowl. Throughout the year, other sporting match-ups occur (though definitely not as heated). However, there remains one feud between the Tigers and Crimson Tide that takes place off of the fields, courts, and pools. For seventeen years, students of Auburn and Bama have competed to see which University could raise the most money and food for their local food banks. Last year, Auburn students defeated the Bammers by donating 234,116 lbs. of food to the East Alabama Food Bank.

Today marks the beginning of the 2011 Beat Bama Food Drive! Although many of us may not be able to drop off cans in Auburn, there is still something we can do to help!
Text “BEATBAMA” and reply “yes” to 20222 to make a $10 donation to the food Drive.
or visit www.beatbamafooddrive.com to make an online donation!

Despite the recent national attention of this rivalry and the drama of Harvey Updyke's actions; let's support the rivalry that helps to feed hungry citizens of Alabama. War Damn Eagle! Beat Bama!
